My tagline says I write dark and introspective fiction. This means that in my stories, bad things happen to bad people, but sometimes good people too. They are tales about scary things that can’t ever happen, and some that might. It also means that you feel something when you read them. That’s one facet of who I am and what I do, the biggest maybe. The fact is that at the core, I am a creator.
While it’s true I build stories, I also build real things too. Sometimes that means painting sad little blanket ghosts, but mostly I enjoy resurrecting and repurposing, making useful things from what might otherwise be waste. The most appropriate example of this is Frank the Book Bike.

Frank started life as a scrap bike frame and a stack of old palettes, now he helps us roam the countryside selling books, art, and weird greeting cards.
When I say us, I mean Pencil on Paper. PoP started as a way for me to publish my own books, but soon after I pulled in my best friend Kaleigh to help steer the creative freight train. In the past we have expanded our offerings to include book publishing services, original art, repurposed goods, and one of a kind greeting cards. Most of those things are on hold for the moment while we focus on our own books and make a plan for what the future looks like, but I can guarantee good things are coming.

So, that’s me in a misshapen nutshell. In case you haven’t seen them already, my short story collection and the first three books in my zombie outbreak series are available as eBooks on Amazon and through Kindle Unlimited. Links to these can be found under “Books” in the menu above. Don’t worry though, updated print books are coming soon!
Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter (you’ll find the link below) to access subscriber exclusive short stories and to keep up to date with all my book news, which at the moment means the “final” instalment of The Storm series, and my new paranormal series, Beyond the Divide. You will only receive emails once or twice a month, and I never share or use your personal information for any other purpose. Please reach out anytime if you have any questions at all, or have any feedback you would like to share. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my unique forms of madness with you.
I hope you are well. Take care.
